Flexible Kaolin Tiles
by
A Material Revolution
Kaolin panels are a building materials' revolution. Some say equivalent to the invention of Portland cement. Applications of kaolin panels can be immense, and we will be seeing increasingly more of them in the years to come.
Advantages
Imagine Travertine, Sandstone, Marble, Woodplanks that are:
Flexible & Lightweight
They are flexible and extremely thin, just 2,5mm. This makes them perfect solutions for all types of facades systems but even for columns, furniture floors, ceilings, pools, benches cabinets etc.
Fire Proof
Fire proof with A1 certification.
Textured
Eventhough it reminds of wallpaper, it is textured and can immitate any desired surface. From travertine, to bricks, wood and marble.
Sustainable
With close to 0 Carbon Footprint, in the end of their long life are naturally degradable, as shows our EPD/LCA.
To be exact, it is :
5x more sustainable than ceramic tiles
5x more sustainable than Rockpanel
13x more sustainable than Moso Bamboo tile
7-10x more sustainable than clinker facing brick!
Impact Resistant
Imagine woodplanks that are highly: ecological, UV-, impact-, fungi-, insect-resistant, bendable, easy to cut, and anti slip (and all of this without need to cut the forest!).
Imagine also Travertine, Sandstone, Marble that are only 2,5 mm thick, bendable, highly shock-resistant with close to 0 Carbon Footprint, in the end of their long life are naturally degradable
Curves are possible
Achieve curves and unregulated shapes to create any design.
Consciously Crafted
Kaolin Tiles are made mostly out of what is the most abundant in our earth: Mud and Sand. The product is certified by Cradle to Cradle product standardplatform for its Material Health, Clean air & Climate Proection, Water & Soil Stewardship, social fairness, and product circularituy
In the March of 2022 our products became officially recognized as not only the most functional but also the most sustainable among all of the industrially-produced cladding materials in Europe as the only construction material with "4 green leaves" on the famous GSES

Information for recyclyng companies | If you use a cement-based adhesive , when recycling the product, you 'd better get rid of the adhesive on the back before resuing it to prevent contamination by the adhesive. |
Applicable substrates | cement plaster, concrete, masonry, Unglazed brick, POROTHERM type, BETOPAN, cinder blocks, exterior grade gypsum sheating, fiber reinforced cement, calcium silicate boards, oriented strandboard, fiberglass mat-facers, EPS, Rockwool, PUR/XPS plates, other surfaces
In case of adhesion to cement plaster - considering cement plaster has limited carrying capacity due tu rupture - available mechanical fixing and permanent support anchors/dowels/fixers/glues for heights exceeding 12 m
|
Application procedure | substrate preparation--drawing lines according to design--apply adhesive to the back of product--apply product to the wall--patting the installed product in even forces with rubber sheet to make products fixed securely --caulking the seam--cleaning--after installation protection |
Adhesion chemical groups allowed | Ingredients in ceramic tile adhesives. |
Adhesion methods and patterns |
Full adhesion to the back of product and apply a thin layer of adhesive within 2mm, using sawtooth trowel to spread this layer of adhesive.
|
Temporary protection of freshly applied elements | For external corners, entrances, passages, etc., where breakage may easily occur during construction parts, protective measures should be taken like using edge trip to cover it. Cover with plastic film to avoid secondary contamination and rain within 48 hours . |
Joint treatment procedures and materials | Use spacers to maintain uniform groves between each panel; Use a Masking tape along the periphery of the tiles to secure the edges from the grout and feed grouts into the joints using the grout bag. Smooth the filled joints using a Pointing bar and use the scrapper to remove excess grout. Anti-alkali tile grouts, silicone building sealant |
Joint sealers | Anti-alkali tile grouts, silicone building sealant |
Surface sealers | Natural stone surface sealer |
SERVICING AND REPAIRS |
|
Maintenace and use specific instructions | If the product surface is polluted by the adhesive and grouting during installation, do not clean it with water at once. We should use knife or dry sponge to scrape and polish when the adhesive has solidified. For daily maintenance, do not use hard objects to clean, use soft tools such as sponges or towels, wash with water, or use neutral detergent to clean. |
Maintenace and use chemical products if available as part of system | Use water for daily cleaning and neutral detergent for more cleaning. If more stain resistance is needed, you can put on a sealer on a regular basis.
|
Existing procedure of performing corrections/surface repairs/deep structural repairs of installed item. Conditions under which repair is not possible and replacement is imposed. | If the surface is scratched in small areas, it can be filled with acrylic paint by a brush. Large scratches can be covered with water-based paint, or the entire piece can be replaced. |
Can corrections/surface repair/deep structural repairs be done with locally produced admixtures or by sending treatment kits? | It can be repaired using local materials. |
